San Sebastian has been appointed by National Geographic as one of the ten happiest cities in the world.

San Sebastián’s worldwide prestige is constantly featured in journals and magazines, consistently appearing on the lists of the most beautiful cities in the world and among the favourites to be visited by tourists. However, this time, the reason to make it to the international headlines is National Geographic top ten list of the happiest cities on earth.

Among the reasons given by the prestigious and renowned publication are the Michelin star restaurants, in fact, San Sebastian is the city in the world with more Michelin Stars per square meter and is also next to Paris, the only city with three restaurants with three stars. National Geographic also mentioned among the reasons the stunning views of the Bay of La Concha that can be enjoyed from the Monte Igueldo and the city’s great cultural offer, being European Capital of Culture in 2016.
